In order to ferment something there needs to be biochemical conversion which means that they need to use enzymes and microorganisms to convert biomass into bioproducts and biofuels. Fermentation is used in the process of making kombucha which is a popular drink in our society today. Some people are confused about how kombucha is made and what exactly fermenting something means.
